    Open, close or transfer an account

    If you’re moving home, please let us know as soon as possible so we can arrange a final meter read at your existing account address and register your new address to your account from the day you move. Simply log into My Account and complete the online form or phone us on 1800 267 926 if you are a residential customer or 1800 737 036 if you are a business customer to arrange this.

    If you aren't an existing Horizon Power customer, you will need to open an electricity account with us. To do this, either phone us on one of the above numbers or click on one of the following links:

    Find out about my account balance

    With My Account you can easily check your electricity account balance, view previous bills and look at your payment history. You will be able to view any requests you have raised with us and view your billed electricity consumption.

    Alternatively, you can speak to a customer service representative on 1800 267 926 (residential enquiries) or 1800 737 036 (business enquiries) 8 am – 5 pm weekdays. Remember to have your account number handy when you call us.

    Please note that if you have made a payment today, your account balance may not have been updated. Please check with your bank or phone us if you require further information.

    I need more time to pay my bill

    Please contact us as soon as possible so we can help you manage your account and avoid disconnecting your electricity supply.

    We can make sure you are receiving any subsidies, rebates and grants you may be entitled to, set up a repayment plan and discuss ways in which you can reduce your electricity use to reduce your next bill. We may in some instances be able to offer a payment extension.

    If you are experiencing financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance through the Hardship Utilities Grant Scheme (HUGS). HUGS assists people in financial hardship to help pay their utility bills and avoid utility disconnection. You don’t need a concession card to be eligible for this payment – please contact us to find out more.

    My Account makes it easy to update your account details such as phone number, email address and postal address online.

    Alternatively, you can speak with a customer service representative on 1800 267 926 (residential enquiries) or 1800 737 036 (business enquiries) 8 am – 5 pm weekdays. Remember to have your account number or a copy of a previous bill handy when you call us.
