We automatically manage the smoothing and storage of your solar energy

At times when there's not enough sun or an excess of energy in the system, to help maintain the stability of the network. ​

Without the expense or hassle of managing your own battery storage solution. 

Benefits of making the smooth move

 

Solar smoothing is a simple service fee based on your solar inverter size

Charged at 35.5000 cents per kVa of solar inverter capacity, per day and charged monthly/bi-monthly (dependent on your billing cycle).

  • Who are safety conscious - and don’t want to take on the increased risk of have a large smoothing battery on site, Solar Smoothing is a way to reduce this risk profile.​

  • After a simple solution - without the need for an onsite battery and associated costs and ongoing maintenance, Solar Smoothing offers a way to decrease the complexity of the installation.

How to apply

Your solar installer will confirm your Solar Smoothing eligiblity and charges as part of your solar installation costs - if available in your town. Opt in to this service must be submitted as part of the request to connect renewables application.
