Unintentional customer data breach due to human error

December 14 2022

What happened and why?

We recently experienced a data breach which meant some customer information was mistakenly shared with a member of the public.

The isolated incident was due to human error and not a cyber-attack or a breach of our systems.

What information was shared?

The data shared included the name, account number and account status of 342 customers from the Kimberley region.

No other personal information including phone number, email, bank details or customer addresses have been shared. We believe there is no risk of identity theft.
