Meet Onslow local Angie Cox, of the Kurrama people. As PUPP continues to underground power in the town, Angie recalls her teenage years in Onslow when the source of light for her family was provided by camp fire and kerosene lamps.

'My mother's sister had a house with a kitchen so we would go there to cook food and then go back and sit by the camp fire' she said.

We asked for her thoughts on the new streetlights recently installed on Second Ave outside Bindi Bindi and she said “Its good. Its safer for people walking back in the dark”.
