Preparing for an outage

We aim to deliver a continuous power supply, but sometimes power outages happen because of circumstances beyond our control such as a cyclone, storm or emergency maintenance.

Consider actioning the following tips and advice so it's easier for your household or business to manage.

If you've registered life support equipment at your property with us

We’ll contact you at least three days prior to any planned outage. This will give you the opportunity to put a back-up plan into action. Your needs will also be considered when planning power interruptions and restoring power after an interruption

If someone in your home will need life support equipment during the outage, please make sure you have enough back-up supply or make other arrangements.
