- Changes to electricity prices, fees and charges 2025
June 19 2025
Each year, the WA State Government reviews electricity prices to better reflect the cost of supplying power across the state.
To keep pricing fair, the Government applies a Uniform Tariff Policy, meaning all customers in WA pay the same for electricity, regardless of where they live.
In 2025–26, the Government will provide a $242 million subsidy to cover this gap - an average of $5,034 per customer connection. Larger users, like schools and government departments, are on cost-reflective tariffs based on the actual cost of supply.
What's changing?
The majority of changes to electricity prices for WA residents this year are in line with inflation and will not exceed 2.5%. We’ve listed the changes to tariffs, fees and charges below.
These prices are effective 1 July 2025, include GST (except where noted otherwise) and are subject to change at any time.
