What is the 2020 Question?

From February 2020, Horizon Power is running a 12-month Electric Vehicle Pilot to gain insights into user charging behaviour and the impact electric vehicles will have on Horizon Power microgrid networks.

Horizon Power team members in Broome and Esperance have been selected to drive two Hyundai Kona electric vehicles. They will be supported by two local charging stations at work and home - a 22Kw AC electric fast charging station at the depot and slower 7Kw AC chargers in their homes.

Combined the vehicle and charging stations will provide valuable insights into electric vehicle use, user requirements and charging behaviours.

To support the Pilot, we’re asking regional WA what they’d like to know about electric vehicles and the future of EVs in their communities.

You can ask a question, read the latest information on EVs, learn about our electric vehicles and charging infrastructure and opt in to receive email updates about how the Pilot is going.
