$600 WA Household Electricity credit announced for residential customers

October 05 2020

The State Government announced, on the 4 October 2020, a one-off WA Household Electricity Credit of $600 as part of the State Budget 2020-21, to be paid to all eligible residential Horizon Power customers.

The $600 WA Household Electricity Credit will be paid to residential customers on their Horizon Power bills as a credit on bills from 1 November 2020, providing Horizon Power customers with relief on their electricity bill ahead of Christmas.

The announcement of the $600 WA Household Electricity Credit joins several initiatives implemented this year to help Horizon Power customers with the economic impacts that COVID-19 has had on our regions.

These include the freezing of regulated household electricity prices, the $2,500 Small Business and Charity Tariff Offset and the $305.25 Energy Assistance Payment (EAP) ‘boost’ for eligible concession card holders who register for the EAP with Horizon Power by 30 September 2020.
