Horizon Power is owned by the State Government and has a Board of Directors that reports to the Minister for Energy. The Minister appoints the Chairperson and Board members.
The Board is the governing body of Horizon Power and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation and monitoring its performance in line with that. It holds bi-monthly meetings to consider matters relating to business and regional development, approves major expenditure and provides advice to the Minister on regional power issues.
To ensure our regional areas are well represented, most of our Directors live in regional Western Australia, bringing local knowledge and expertise to their roles.
Horizon Power is funded by the Government but operates on a commercial model.
Horizon Power will grow revenue from existing activities and new business opportunities by continuing to focus on adding value to the communities we currently service.
