Western Australia's flora has long been recognised nationally and around the world for its uniqueness, diversity and beauty - a much treasured natural heritage.
The wildflower displays they create, particularly along roadside reserves, are spectacular. They attract large numbers of tourists from all over the world. Many of our wildflowers are quite rare.
Horizon Power supports a significant research program with Kings Park and Botanic Garden to rescue fourteen of the most critically endangered plants. Horizon Power would like to see more native plants being used in amenity plantings.
It actively promotes the use of local native "power line friendly" trees and shrubs in the vicinity of its power lines.
