Business Customers with High Electricity Usage

This tariff is suitable for business customers with high energy usage and high energy voltage. The M2 tariff is available to industrial, commercial and general customers taking supply at high voltage (11 kV, 22 kV or 33 kV). The M2 tariff consists of a daily supply (fixed) charge and a declining block energy charge.

Businesses with very high electricity usage have a special tariff available for their unique business purposes.

General Supply (High Voltage) M2 Tariff

Customers on the M2 tariff are required to provide all equipment except meters on the load side of the customers' high voltage terminals. That is, the customer must provide the high voltage main switch and transformers.

Examples of parties eligible for the M2 tariff include:

  • Heavy machinery producers
  • Mining companies
  • Shopping Centres

*New commercial customers should discuss their electricity needs and pricing with their local Horizon Power representative.
