Board of Directors

Horizon Power is owned by the State Government and has its own Board that reports to the Minister for Energy.  The Minister appoints the Chairperson and members.

The Board is the governing body of Horizon Power and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation.  The Board holds bi-monthly meetings to consider matters relating to business and regional development.  The Board approves major expenditure and provides advice to the Minister on regional power issues.  To ensure our regional areas are well represented, some Directors live in regional areas of the state and can bring local knowledge and expertise to their role.
